Alleged to have uploaded a single pre-release album to the music-oriented BitTorrent tracker site back in early 2007.
OiNK, the fabled and long shuttered music-oriented BitTorrent tracker site, continues to make headlines for now comes word that a former user was arrested by the UK's Cleveland Police for allegedly having uploaded a single pre-release album back in early 2007 while the site was still up and running.
The user is from the Cheshire area and was later released on bail, but the arrest alludes to a more troubling path of events underway that police may in fact begin "arresting and interviewing" more former users according to information received by the BitTorrent-related news site TorrentFreak.
It's a odd reminder of what a message on the site read after its closure by Cleveland and Dutch Police.
"A criminal investigation continues into the identities and activities of the site's users," it said.
